PTPS And Project Teams
The Parker Team Player Survey has been a great tool to help individuals on projects better understand each other. I utilize the Survey to help people understand their own preferences as a team player as well as the preferences of their teammates. A project team needs all four styles represented. Using the Survey information, team members can analyze how the preferences will positively and negatively impact their project activity. Then the team strategies how to cover some strengths they are lacking and overcome ineffective situations such as being too dominant in one or two styles. One key perspective team members gain is a repect for what strengths each person contributes rather than seeing style differences as more tensions to handle.
