Parker Team Building Program Facilitator's Guide

I built this handbook to help people make effective use of my Team Player Survey, Team Development Survey and the video, Team Building II. However, the designs and exercises go beyond these resources to provide a comprehensive approach to team building and team training.

The easy-to-follow designs are presented in two categories--team building and team training--and range from a short, 90-minute awareness session to an intensive two-day workshop. The team building activities are designed to increase the ability of an intact team to work together effectively by analyzing its strengths and improvement opportunities and preparing a plan for increasing team success. The team training activities focus on increasing the skills and knowledge of each individual in various aspects of teamwork and being a team player. A new, modern design and loose-leaf format increases the ease of use of this publication for team facilitators.
