The Team Kit

A comprehensive resource with practical answers and solutions to a variety of common team issues and problems. Over the years of working with teams in different organizational settings I have identified the most common concerns that team members and leaders face on a day-to-day basis and the result is this collection of tools to help a team function more effectively. And it's all in a box!
Ideally, each team would receive a box for its use at the forming stage. The box contains:
8 copies of The Little Team Book. Each team member receives a copy and uses it as a daily reference on such topics as the team's mission and goals, conflict resolution and how to give feedback to another member.
Leader's Guide. Working in conjunction with The Little Team Book, the leader uses the Guide to help members prepare a mission statement, write objectives, manage meetings, and more. In addition, it includes how-to tips on team development and maintenance, assessment tools and other team job aids.
Tough Questions and Practical Answers. This booklet provides helpful, practical answers to the 60 most frequently asked questions regarding the everyday functioning of teams. Issues addressed include what to do when a new member joins the team or someone leaves the team, how to deal with someone who comes late to meetings, what to do at the first meeting of a team and how to deal with a member who is not carrying his or her weight. It's a handy problem solver for leaders, facilitators and members in a handy Q&A format.
Tips for Teams Wall Poster. Guidelines for team behaviors--things that members should "always, sometimes and never" do--displayed on an attractive wall chart suitable for posting in a meeting room or work area.
4 Reproducible Team Development Instruments. Includes the Team Meeting Survey that assesses your team meetings, The Reality of Self-Direction that assesses your readiness to become a self-directed team, the Self-Directed Team Culture Survey that assesses the degree of support for teamwork both within your team and the overall organization, and the Organizational Weather Report that measures the extent to which your team is oriented toward achievement and power.
